BIG Update
BIG Update Our national debt is skyrocketing. At this rate, it’s going to increase by $20 trillion in the next ten years. This is a crisis. If we don’t act now, we know the impact it’ll have on Americans: |
I’m revamping the Weekly Column to give you a greater look at what’s happening in Washington, D.C. This is the first edition of The Big Three, where I’ll share a BIG update of what’s on my mind, a BIG idea from a meeting I had, and BIG news about the hot topic in D.C.
Most of us feel a bit of dread when going to the airport. From the time we leave our front door until we reach our final destination, a lot can go wrong. Maybe it’s the crowds, long lines, flight cancelations, delays, or missing baggage, we’ve all had our fair share of air travel problems.
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) voted in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reauthorization bill when it passed the House.
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representatives Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) and Greg Stanton (D-AZ), along with U.S. Senators Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and Mark Kelly (D-AZ) introduced the Interactive Federal Review Act.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is spying on ports across the globe. I suppose it isn’t much of a shock, given their track record with spying through apps like TikTok, their spy base in Cuba, and CCP “police stations” around the world.
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) secured a provision prohibiting the use of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) state-controlled shipping platform LOGINK at U.S. ports.
Rapid City Journal
Last week, Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) led efforts to successfully turn back a plan to charge the Pierre, Aberdeen, and Watertown communities more than four million dollars over the next 10 years to maintain passenger air service, the Congressman said in a press release.
Without action this week, rural airports in Aberdeen, Watertown, and Pierre would have faced over $4 million in new expenses over the next ten years. This cost burden would have many potential impacts: flight cancelations, higher ticket prices, and maybe even a risk of closure if our local governments can’t come up with these additional funds.
