The Ripon Advance
A provision from legislation sponsored by U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-SD) last week passed the U.S. House Armed Services Committee as part of the annual defense bill.
BIG Update
It’s Police Week and the House passed several bills this week to show our support for law enforcement officers. Our men and women in blue sacrifice greatly to protect our communities, whether that is by the border, in Washington, D.C., or on reservations. Here’s a few bills I voted on to support those in blue:
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, applauded final passage of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act, which ensures continuity and stability of our air travel and makes key improvements to our aviation sector. The FAA Reauthorization Act included key Johnson-led provisions.
South Dakota Public Broadcasting
South Dakota Republican Rep. Dusty Johnson has introduced legislation he said will improve rural broadband infrastructure.
The FOREST Act, or Facilitating Optimal and Rapid Expansion and Sitting of Telecommunications, aims to simplify resources for rural communities looking to upgrade.
Argus Leader
The U.S. House voted 393-24 Thursday to approve South Dakota Rep. Dusty Johnson’s bill targeting China’s control of international supply chains. The bill would allow the Federal Maritime Commission to investigate foreign shipping business practices and allow for data standardization in supply chains.
