Washington, D.C. – Today, the House passed the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), with several of U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson’s (R-S.D.) priorities. The bill includes provisions to strengthen deterrence against China, prohibit men from competing in women’s sports at military academies, and robust funding for B-21 aircraft procurement.
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) cosponsored the Restore Trust in Congress Act, which bans members of Congress and their families from buying and selling individual stocks during their time in Congress. This bipartisan legislation was introduced by U.S. Representatives Chip Roy (R-TX) and Seth Magaziner (D-RI).

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) voted to pass the Stop Chinese Fentanyl Act to hold China accountable for its role in the fentanyl crisis. The bill passed with a vote of 407-4. Johnson is a member of the Fentanyl Policy Working Group within the Select Committee on China.

The trio was among a crowd of about 80 people who came out to honor Vietnam veterans at the Post 22 American Legion Hall in Rapid City.
The pinning ceremony, hosted by U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson, R-South Dakota, on Tuesday, recognized the service of about 45 veterans. Tom Fitzgerald was the only posthumous honoree of the day. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 through 1970 during the Vietnam War. He died in December 2024.
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - South Dakota Representative Dusty Johnson wants more transparency in Congress.
Now, he’s pushing to pass the TRUST in Congress Act when lawmakers return to D.C in September.
Johnson said members of Congress should not be buying and selling stock.
He tells us this legislation, which was first introduced in 2023, would ensure they are playing by fair rules. It would require members to put specific investments into a qualified blind trust until 180 days after the end of a lawmaker’s tenure.
