BIG Update

Over the weekend, I joined President Trump for dinner to discuss legislative plans for the next year. In just a few days, I’ll be attending his inauguration to watch him take the oath of office. I’m ready to have a president in the White House who will secure the border, project strength abroad, and unleash American energy.

On Monday, January 6, I attended the Joint Session to count electoral votes of the 2024 election, confirming that President Donald Trump won the election. With less than two weeks until the inauguration, I’m looking forward to having a president in the White House who will help secure the border, cut spending, get tough on China, and make government more efficient.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.), a member of the Select Committee on China and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, introduced the Panama Canal Repurchase Act, which would authorize the purchase of the Panama Canal. President Donald Trump has stated his interest in bringing the canal back under American ownership to improve national and economic security.

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) re-introduced the Wounded Knee Massacre Memorial and Sacred Site Act to preserve a section of the land where hundreds of Lakota Indians were massacred by the U.S. Army. This bill passed the House with unanimous support last Congress, but was not signed into law.
