Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) re-introduced the Wounded Knee Massacre Memorial and Sacred Site Act to preserve a section of the land where hundreds of Lakota Indians were massacred by the U.S. Army. This bill passed the House with unanimous support last Congress, but was not signed into law.

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) and the Select Committee on China’s Fentanyl Policy Working Group introduced legislation to combat the deadly fentanyl crisis and hold China accountable for its role in fueling the epidemic. The Working Group has drafted these bills in response to their research on the devastating impact of fentanyl on American communities.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - On Wednesday, the House approved a $895 billion National Defense Authorization Act in a 281 to 140 vote after months of turmoil.

Many of the topics that held up the bill included what Representative Dusty Johnson says are “social agendas” such as DEI, Critical Race Theory and gender transitions for minors. Johnson says this defense package put an end to some of those policies but noted the bill’s proposed funding will do a lot for Ellsworth Air Force Base in preparation for the B-21 bombers.

A federal court recently ruled that Congress does have the authority to force a sale of TikTok from its current owner, ByteDance. A bill that was signed into law this year would do exactly that, or else TikTok would no longer be allowed to operate in America. TikTok is Chinese malware that is installed on more than 100 million American devices, giving China access to users’ passwords, internet history, voice, fingerprint, and facial data, and more.
