Washington, D.C. – This week,U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) voted against a bill that would provide and promote access to abortions without limitations. The so-called "Women's Health Protection Act" is the most sweeping pro-abortion legislation Congress has voted on in recent history. The proposal would override state pro-life laws on informed consent, parental notification in the case of a minor, and allow for dismemberment abortions and abortions based on a Down Syndrome diagnosis.
Washington, D.C. – Last week, U.S. Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) spoke on the House floor in support of the Hyde Amendment which prohibits federal funding of abortions.
Despite decades-long precedent, the Hyde Amendment was not included in President Biden's budget proposal for Fiscal Year 2022.
