On Wednesday, January 31, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-SD), Adrian Smith (R-NE), Jim Costa (D-CA), and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), announced the launch of a bipartisan Congressional Agricultural Trade Caucus. The goal of the caucus is to advance and promote policies critical to the agriculture industry in the United States.

This weekend marks the start of the 65th annual Black Hills Stock Show. The Stock Show is one of my favorite events each year, giving me the opportunity to connect with producers from across our state and region. This year’s event runs from January 26 to February 3 and has events for everyone to enjoy like the rodeo, concerts, vendors and more.

For 11 years, schools across America have been prohibited from serving 2% or whole milk to students. The prohibition began when the Obama Administration imposed ill-informed school lunch regulations. Without a variety of milk options, students have turned to drinks with high caffeine and sugar.

The American Farm Bureau Federation and South Dakota Farm Bureau today presented Rep. Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) with AFBF’s Golden Plow award. The Golden Plow is the highest honor the organization gives to sitting members of Congress.
