September 19, 2022

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson (R-S.D.) congratulated John and Sarah Enos of Deadwood for being named the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s South Dakota 2022 Angels in Adoption honorees.

“Congratulations to the Enos family for being named Angels in Adoption,” said Johnson. “The Enos family is a perfect example of how fostering and adopting is a blessing to both children and families.”

In 2020, then a family of three, the Enos family fostered and quickly adopted three young children in 2020. Soon after beginning the adoption process, the Enos family had two more children—quickly growing into a family of eight.

Each year, the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) selects individuals, families or organizations across the nation who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of children in need of permanent, loving homes. Each family’s tireless dedication to child welfare stands out in their community but has earns them recognition as an extraordinary family deserving of this award.
