My bill to preserve the site of the Wounded Knee Massacre is heading to President Trump’s desk after receiving unanimous support in both the House and Senate.
It’s the time of year when long distance family and friends come home and gather together again. Being together can help us remember all there is to be grateful for. I’ve taken some time to reflect on the things that I am thankful for this season.
November is National Adoption Month. Adoption is a truly selfless decision and a meaningful way to grow a family.
Each year, the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute selects individuals, families, or organizations across the country who have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of children in need of permanent, loving homes.
This coming Tuesday is an opportunity to thank the brave men and women who have served our country. South Dakota is home to more than 60,000 veterans who served from World War II through today. Veterans Day is an important reminder to take time to thank those who sacrificed to preserve and protect the United States.
We are now 31 days into this government shutdown, and Americans are really starting to see the scary impacts of what will soon be the longest government shutdown in American history. I voted back in September to prevent all of this. It was a vote to keep the government open and to keep serving people.
